Masala Vadai Recipe/ Paruppu Vadai Recipe.

Ingredients:


Chana dal- 1 cup

Fennel seeds - 1tsp

Cinnamon - 1/2" stick

Onion - 1 big (finely chopped)

Red chili -2

Green chili - 3

Curry leaves- few

Coriander leaves - few

Mint leaves -few

Salt - as needed

Oil - for deep frying


Steps:

  1. Wash and soak Chana dal in water for 2 hours. Drain water completely.

  2. In a mixture, add chana dal, fennel seeds, red chili, cinnamon, and grind to a coarse mixture.

  3. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add onion, green chili, curry leaves, coriander leaves, and mint leaves, salt and mix it well.

  4. Make small rounds of equal size and press it with your hand.

  5. Deep fry them in oil. The oil should not be too hot. Fry them in medium heat until golden brown.


Serve hot with a cup of tea! It goes well with other rice varieties too.
