Raw Mango Thokku/Maangai Thokku Recipe.

Ingredients:


Raw mango -1 (cut into small pieces with skin)

Red chili powder - 2 tbsp

Fenugreek - 1 tsp

Salt- as needed

Sesame oil - 2 tbsp

mustard - 1 tsp


Steps:

  1. Dry roast the fenugreek and make a fine powder using mortar & pestle or mixture. Since the quantity is very less if you grind in the mixture it won't be a smooth powder. Keep it aside

  2. In a pan add oil. Once the oil is hot add mustard. When it splutters, add the red chili powder and mix it. add the sliced mangoes immediately. add some salt and mix well. Cook for 2 minutes. Don't overcook or else the mangoes will become mushy. If you prefer mushy mangoes then cook for 1 more minute. Add the fenugreek powder and mix it well. switch off the flame.



This is a great side dish for curd rice, sambar rice.
