Peanut Chutney Recipe

Peanut chutney is one of my favorite chutneys. It goes well with idli and dosa and it is very healthy . It is also very easy to make. It is very filling so it is better to have it for breakfast and even if you are preparing it for dinner try to eat it 3 hrs before going to bed. There are two variations of this chutney with and without coconut. I am sharing the recipe with coconut here.


Ingredients:


Peanut -1 cup

Coconut - 1/4 cup

Red chilli- 6 (Add one or 2 more if you want it more spicy)

Tamarind - 1 inch piece

Garlic - 1 clove

Salt - As needed

oil - 1 tsp


To Temper:

Mustard - 1 tsp

Urad dal - 1 tsp

Curry leaves - few


Steps to make Peanut chutney:


1. Dry roast the peanuts. Add the peanuts,coconut,red chilli,garlic,tamarind in a blender.Add some water and grind it a smooth paste. Add salt and mix it.

2. Add oil in a pan and add mustard.Once it starts to splutter add urad dal and curry leaves.



You can make chutney without coconut. The recipe is the same.Enjoy your peanut chutney with hot idli/dosa.
